Ana Jordão & Vincent Kollar

Ana Jordão is a Portuguese contemporary circus artist based in Berlin whose work investigates hybrid forms between circus and dance. Her artistic practice focuses on illusion, perception, suspension, and the emotional potential of physical risk.

Vincent Kollar is a circus artist and certified rigger recognized for his innovative work in meteor manipulation and contemporary circus rigging. Together, Ana and Vincent develop performances that merge technical precision with emotional depth, creating highly visual and physically intricate stage experiences.

Their collaborations have been presented internationally in festivals and venues dedicated to contemporary circus and interdisciplinary performance.

A body and other objects

A BODY AND OTHER OBJECTS – the short story is a condensed and immersive exploration of gravity, suspension, illusion, and interconnectedness. Through a choreographic language that brings together hair hanging, partnering, and contemporary circus practices, the piece invites audiences into a universe where the laws of physics seem to shift and dissolve.

Bodies float, tilt, suspend, and intertwine, creating tensions and generating images that oscillate between vulnerability and strength, fragility and control. The performers construct an ever-changing landscape in which movement becomes simultaneously mechanical, exploratory, and poetic.

The work explores the invisible systems that connect bodies, revealing the delicate balance between dependence and autonomy, trust and risk. The piece speaks to the urgency of radical care and the interconnectedness of all things, both animate and inanimate.
