Sandra Geco has worked and collaborated with Wim Vandekeybus (Ultima Vez), José Montalvo (Théâtre National de Chaillot), Séverine Bidaud (6th Dimension Company), and Amala Dianor. She also assisted Sandrine Lescourant (Kilaï Company) on the creation Acoustique.

As a dancer and hybrid artist, she began dancing in Roanne, studying classical dance, jazz, mime, and theatre, and later trained at the ESDC Rosella Hightower. She performed classical and neoclassical repertory ballets and attended the American Ballet Theatre Collegiate Summer Intensive. At the same time, she studied hip hop and trained in various street dance techniques.

Passionate about photography and video from a young age, she developed her audiovisual work and artistic identity between surrealism and poetry. In 2019, this led her to found her own company, &cø: a plural approach that brings together different aesthetics and techniques. Her work often reveals a relationship with image, the theatricality of the body, and the sensitive world of movement, the moment, and nothingness.

Edouard Gameiro began practicing circus arts in 2012 with Lin Yung Biau at the EACS. He quickly developed an interest in duo work and specialized in hand-to-hand acrobatics with trapeze artist Aurélie Mignon. At the same time, he continued training in disciplines such as the Chinese pole, aerial rope, and aerial silks.

He began his professional career at the Théâtre du Châtelet in the production Il Re Pastore directed by Olivier Fredj. He later collaborated with the Compagnie XY at the Théâtre Firmin Gémier for La Piscine, and with the Joly Viann, contributing to the choreographic research for a new creation.

A passionate stage performer, he is involved in numerous artistic projects across the events industry and national stages such as the Opéra de Paris and the Écuries Royales de Chantilly. He can currently be seen in Le Voyage dans la Lune, created at the Opéra de Montpellier.






Side by Side

In a social context where individualism is increasingly prioritized and contact with others tends to become virtual, being together, sharing, and the need to return to the collective become urgent. As neurologist, psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst Boris Cyrulnik said, “The physical protection of distance is a true psychological aggression.”

Through this duet, Sandra Geco seeks to remind us of the importance of these emotional expressions, of this form of nonverbal communication in which contact provides safety and trust, allowing us to enter the present moment without a single word.

In this story of embraces, the choreographic material is infused with this everyday gesture in order to stage it and unfold all its possibilities. It is a body-to-body encounter where hearts connect side by side, becoming heart to heart. The human being is a social and affective being who needs to connect with others in order to survive, develop, and face adversity. A symbiotic relationship emerges, like the visible and invisible bonds present in nature and society. The energy of an embrace then becomes one of the greatest supports to keep from falling or sinking, giving the two performers the strength to rise, keep moving, and continue living.
