Paloma Hurtado / Juliana Reyes | “ORIGánika”
About the piece
In a desire to get closer to the origins of life, death crossed the path of creation and this made us think about the cyclical nature of life, the path of detachment, of building and rebuilding oneself many times, as many times as life may fall. We encounter the fragility of a nascent body, with clumsiness in the beginning, with pain and joy, hardness and delicacy.
We understand the bodies in their young state and in their mature state, mother and daughter, who meet at the origin, on stage, who recognize each other, who detach themselves from each other, who say goodbye, who transform themselves.
In the end, we are all nature in its most primitive state, souls come and go and bodies remain, in the form of roots, shells or air.
