PITT Company

PITT Company is the artistic platform founded by Belgian choreographer and performer Pieter Ampe. The company develops works situated at the intersection of dance, performance, theater, and live art, characterized by physical intensity, vulnerability, and a strong sense of immediacy.

Pieter Ampe’s artistic language often emerges from improvisation, collaboration, and the exposure of the body in its most human dimensions—fragile, awkward, playful, and emotional. His creations challenge conventional theatrical structures and seek direct, unfiltered encounters with audiences.

The company has presented works internationally in major festivals and venues across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, establishing itself as a distinctive voice within contemporary performance.

Trilogy: For Old Times’ Sake

Trilogy: For Old Times’ Sake is a raw, humorous, and deeply human encounter between two performers revisiting their shared history through movement, memory, and physical dialogue. Balancing intimacy with absurdity, the work unfolds as an ongoing negotiation between friendship, masculinity, vulnerability, and the passage of time.

Pieter Ampe and Guilherme Garrido inhabit the stage with radical openness, allowing dance, conversation, exhaustion, improvisation, and play to coexist within the same performative space. Their bodies oscillate between resistance and surrender, tenderness and confrontation, exposing the fragile mechanics of human connection.

The piece blurs the boundaries between choreography and lived experience. What emerges is not a fixed narrative but rather a constantly shifting landscape of memories, gestures, failures, and attempts at reconciliation. Humor becomes both a survival strategy and a form of emotional honesty.

At once chaotic and precise, playful and melancholic, Trilogy: For Old Times’ Sake reflects on the ways relationships evolve over time and on how the body stores traces of affection, conflict, and shared history.
