About the piece

Originating from Sartrean existentialism and human experiences resulting from the diaspora, I propose a simple and at the same time complex question: Who am I? Am I what I want to be or what they told me I should be?

A moving essay on being a constant and dynamic construction, a combination of layers, a body that is many, and in transformation into a space where we are all incomplete and in search of something.

About the company

Stephanie began her studies at the INAC National School of Dance, later at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Panama and finally at the Alicia Alonso Institute of the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid- Spain. She has danced professionally under the direction of different groups and choreographers nationally and internationally. Her creations have been presented at important dance festivals in Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Colombia and Chile. She is a member of the Network of artists and creators of the Creative Space Foundation (FEC) and Wa.taá (Red Libers Arts). His pieces have been winners of various national and international competitions such as “Descalza”-Nuestros Creadores (2014), “La Casa” – IBERESCENA (2020), “Cartografía del Olvido” – creation fund sponsored by Fundación PRISMA & Gramo Danse (2022 ) and “Silence is the loudest of Sounds” – COCO Danza (2023). She currently collaborates with the La Vaina Ambiental collective and different independent multidisciplinary artists and runs her own dance studio Arte Ballet Studio.
